On May 7-8, 2013, in the framework of the European Week, through the intermediary of Sokhumi State University, Tempus IV project final international conference was held at Tbilisi Marriot which was attended by the representatives from Latvia, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs, the National Tempus Office in Georgia, Embassies of Latvia and Ukraine in Georgia, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Batumi City Hall.

On January 19-20, 2012 University of Bologna (Bologna, Italy) hosted the meeting of Tempus IV consortium members where the project related issues were discussed. The meeting was attended by the project coordinator, the Head of Intercultural Communications Department at Sokhumi State University, Prof. Indira Dzagania and project participants: Prof. Manana Kuprava (Sokhumi State University), Prof. Marina Aroshidze (Shota Rustaveli State University), Prof. Nana Mazmishvili (Shota Rustaveli State University) and Irakli Katsadze (Shota Rustaveli State University).

On November 17-20, 2011 Roberto Righi (Coordinator) and Stefano Grandi visited Sokhumi State University.
Their main goal was familiarizing with the introduction of European educational principles into Georgian educational system and finding out at what extent Georgian educational programmes correspond to the European standards.

On October 24, 2011 the Head of National Tempus Office Georgia, Prof. Lika Glonti visited Sokhumi State University. The aim of the visit was to monitor the activities implemented in the frames of the project. Ms. Glonti met the coordinator of Tempus project, Prof. Indira Dzagania, project team members – Prof. Shota Akhalaia, Prof. Romeo Galdava and Doctor of Philology Irma Zakaraia. Prof. Indira Dzagania introduced recently carried out activities. Discussions were also focused on the future plans.

On October 12, 2011 Sokhumi State University and Georgian Employers Association concluded the memorandum of cooperation. Memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Rector of Sokhumi State University, Prof. Joni Apakidze and Executive Director of Georgian Employers Association, Konstantine Nanobashvili. The memorandum of cooperation covers the issues related to the social partnership in the higher education sphere.
